Common Questions
Frequently asked questions.
ETTE managed IT includes help desk support, proactive monitoring, cybersecurity, cloud management, backup and disaster recovery, patch management, and vendor coordination, with senior advisory scoped separately. We document your environment completely and build a plan around what you actually need.
ETTE uses a per-user monthly model. Your cost is your active user count times your per-user rate. Full managed plans generally start at $150 per user per month, with a $2,500/month minimum engagement; remote-only plans start at $125 per user per month with a $1,500/month minimum. Pricing scales naturally with headcount - no surprise invoices or hidden fees. Nonprofit pricing is available.
We work to the following response objectives: Urgent 20 minutes, High Priority 60 minutes, Normal 90 minutes, and Change Requests 8 hours. These are operational targets used to manage service quality, not contractual response guarantees. Emergency escalation terms are defined in the managed service agreement. The help desk is staffed Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM ET.
Our managed security program takes a layered approach - protecting your people, devices, identities, data, and cloud as one connected system. That includes managed detection and response, endpoint and email protection, identity and access protection, web filtering, security awareness training, and documented policies. ETTE GuardRail consolidates it all into a single posture dashboard.
ETTE manages your productivity suites, servers, backup, identity and access, and selected cloud and hybrid environments as part of the managed service suite - set up, secured, and supported by a team that knows your environment.
We implement automated backup with tested recovery procedures, document what is backed up and how often, and run regular restoration tests. Backup configuration and restoration testing are included in managed plans, and we help you define and meet your recovery time and recovery point objectives.
Yes. ETTE supports remote and hybrid workforces with secure access, endpoint management for off-site devices, cloud collaboration, and complete remote onboarding for new staff. Remote-Only Managed IT, our remote-only managed plan, is built specifically for distributed teams - without on-site visits.
ETTE uses a structured 30-day Smooth Start, included at no extra cost. We begin with a discovery phase documenting every device, account, application, vendor relationship, and configuration - typically two to four weeks - before making changes. That documentation becomes the foundation for everything we do.
Reporting comes in two parts. Your quarterly service review covers support trends, ticket themes, service objectives, technology lifecycle, and project progress, with operational recommendations and owners. ETTE GuardRail is your security posture report: identity and access, configuration and controls, and security-awareness readiness, with recommendations that can support board updates, funder questionnaires, and due-diligence requests.
Yes. ETTE is not a break-fix shop. Our strategic advisory provides technology roadmapping, budget and lifecycle planning, vendor-neutral selection guidance, and high-level AI readiness conversations. AI strategy, pilots, training, rollout, and enablement are scoped through AI Strategy & Enablement Advisory.
ETTE uses a team-based model instead of a single account manager. Your environment is documented and shared across our Americas-based engineering team - the same engineers who onboard you handle your support. This removes single points of failure and keeps support consistent.
Yes. ETTE has focused on nonprofits, associations, and established businesses in Washington, DC for more than two decades. We understand the security questions, budget realities, and operational realities of organizations that commonly have 10-150 staff. Many clients have been with us for a decade or more.
ETTE helps with the foundational evidence most organizations need: access controls, backup evidence, documentation, and security posture reporting through ETTE GuardRail. When you need ongoing auditor coordination, vendor-risk review, questionnaire ownership, or security governance, that is handled through Virtual CISO.
Our staffed help desk operates Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM ET. Outside those hours, managed detection and response provides around-the-clock threat monitoring, and emergency escalation procedures for business-critical outages are defined in your service agreement.
